Shooting in China

So now that the new Palm Pre launch spot is floating around, I’m going to be posting a bunch of images that I shot on the set. I shot about 4,000. Not that many are good, but a good bunch are. It’ll take me a while to pick them apart, but rest assured that I’ll have them up on flickr some time before the next campaign comes out.

To tide both of my readers over in the meantime (hi mom & dad), I’ve got a few images from around the set.

Holding the shot for a passing ox…

…we had to do this a lot…

…like pretty much all the time. It got kind of ridiculous.

Tomato-flavored Pringles. For some reason Pringles were abundant on this trip. I’m not sure if it was just because it was the most accessible western-style snack, or if they are really very popular in China. Either way, we were surrounded by them in all sorts of interesting flavors…

…such as BBQ Steak. These really tasted exactly like BBQ Steak. This was mildly less disgusting than Grilled Chicken or Shoyu Butter flavors… but not by much.

And here I am in our makeshift production office, being watched over by dead (they’re all dead, right?) communist leaders.

They totally have strawberry ice cream cones in China!

The kids we worked with were amazing, seriously.

The view from somewhere above Hong Kong. We took a cable car to some kind of weird mall on the top of a mountain. There was even a Bubba Gump’s Shrimp up there.

…Ok, full disclosure… I was drinking in the Bubba Gump’s Shrimp bar when I took this.

More coming soon(ish).
